Increased ‘Support’ for Women across Lancashire

2 new bra fitters are extending the home fitting service across Lancashire, offering improved bra support for women in their own homes across the county.

Blackburn’s Marjorie Burnside, and Preston’s Angie Webb will become the latest bra fitters in the developing Bra Lady network, set up by Chorley Mum, Tracey-Jane Hughes.

Angie, Mum of 2, explained, “I’ve always struggled with buying bras myself, and I’ve been looking for a new challenge. Starting my own home bra fitting business is just the opportunity I’ve been looking for”. Angie will cover Central and West Lancashire, initially with maternity & nursing bras.

The Bra Lady network has been developed by T-J over the last year, from her own experience of running a home bra fitting service, and 2 online specialist bra shops www.bras4mums.co.uk (maternity and nursing bras), and www.bras4all.co.uk (mastectomy, soft cup, teen and sports bras). Marjorie and Angie will bring the UK team to 10 on 1st July when they will start their own home fitting service in Lancashire.

Marjorie said, “Having had a mastectomy 10 years ago, I understand how difficult it is to get the right fitting bras at a very difficult time in women’s lives. Being able to offer a home fitting service to women who need it most is going to be very rewarding. I’m really looking forward to supporting women in Lancashire, and it’s great that T-J is supporting women to set up their own businesses, based on her experience.”. Marjorie will cover East Lancashire, initially with mastectomy and soft cup bras.

The 2 Lancashire ladies will offer the specialist home bra fitting service across the county. They expect to support pregnant and breastfeeding women, women who’ve had breast surgery, including mastectomy and lumpectomy surgery, and older ladies who can’t get to the shops. This specialist service returns T-J’s business to where it originally started 7 years ago.

T-J Hughes said, “It’s scary but very exciting moving the Bra Lady network forward. I’m handing over the bra fitting service in Lancashire to 2 trained and passionate ladies who will be able to offer an improved service from the one that I’ve been able to offer by myself these last few years. I’m looking forward to supporting them from our new premises, and developing the online support for customers and the Bra Lady Network across the UK.”

From 1st July all bra fittings will be done by the Bra Lady team. T-J will  focus on training and support of the bra lady team across the UK, and the online shops’ fitting advice service. The main office will move to more suitable premises in mid-August.

The Lancashire team will be launching the service at the main office in Adlington at 2pm 1st July.
