The finalists for the prestigious mumandworking 2011 Awards have been announced – and Tracey-Jane Hughes, and the BraLady network is amongst them!

Over 400 nominations in total were made this year and Tracey-Jane Hughes from bras4mums and the BraLady network is a finalist in two categories – Business Parent of the Year, and Franchisor of the Year.

bras4mums is a specialist maternity and nursing bra company, offering an online shop with support from expert bra fitters. The Bra Lady network has developed over the last year to grow the home bra fitting service started by T-J 7 years ago in the North West. There are currently 10 areas covered by home bra fitters offering specialist bras to women in their own homes and through breastfeeding groups and antenatal clincs, with more areas being developed all the time.

T-J, said: “I’m delighted to have been shortlisted for these 2 awards. Developing the bras4mums business has been difficult, particularly these last few years during the recession and with the death my mother. The Business Parent award is recognition of the hard work I’ve put in to support women across the UK, from having experienced incorrect bra fitting advice when I was pregnant and breastfeeding.

“The Bra Lady network is still growing, so it’s a wonderful achievement that it’s being recognised as a franchise opportunity for women who want to work flexibly around their family or other jobs. It’s a very rewarding self-employment opportunity, and with so many women experiencing difficulties getting the right bra for them, we know that there are opportunities to develop a BraLady business in every town in the UK. I’m delighted to be able to support other women develop their own business.”

The 2011 mumandworking awards are organised by www.mumandworking.co.uk and reward, recognise and celebrate the companies and individuals that make flexible working possible.
